We have a new project we would like to tell you about. Your class, Developing Skills for the Workplace (DSW), will be taking on the Lid Legend project as part of your program once face-to-face classes can resume. The project involves collecting and sorting plastic lids to be recycled by a local company, Precious Plastics. These plastics are recycled and given a new life. Currently Precious Plastics are turning recycled plastics into face mask ear savers and carabiner’s. If you would like to find out more visit their website “plastic.org.au”.
Although this project will commence when we return to face-to-face classes, you can start collecting today! Start by recognising which plastic lids can be collected and put them aside (lids are best stored inside in a cardboard box). You hear the saying “together apart” quite a lot these days. Well, we think it could be great if the whole team collects plastic lids together, while we’re apart.
This program is Learn Local endorsed.
